https://www.canford.co.uk/Products/31-850_CANFORD-CAT5E-F-CABLE-Black is the cable used. It's standards-compliant and will carry a gig at the usual distances, but it's stranded-conductor and so flexes really easily.

For that you want Cat-5e cable, UTP variety, stranded.

Cat-6 is usually shielded and more tightly wound - which makes it firmer.

With really flexible cable, you might only reach 100mbps speeds, even if your network gear is gigabit. This is because all the "tech" used to enable high speeds will make cable stiffer - like more tightly wound pairs, shielding between twisted pairs and full shielding (prevents interference / crosstalk and such - thus enabling higher speeds).

That cable does look like something that will do the job - its made of just the right materials to give it flexibility.

If you smooth them out and then roll them up rather than coil them, most Cat5E cables will lie flat !

I work with these for a living....

Flat cat5E cables are also good.....

Dont bother with cat6 absolute waste of money for your intended purpose.

I bought some like these just because they are flat and take up less space in a confined area. But I suspect they would not last long if walked on. Very soft and flexible but not hardy.

Yup got one of those for at star camp to protect cables. Ended up tripping over it countless times in the dark 😀

Heavy to carry about but does protect cables.

Just in case anyone else is looking for these cables - I went with the Canford option linked above but just be aware - there is a minimum spend of £35 plus VAT and the minimum postage charge is £10 !!!!

I've bought a lot of stuff from Canford (Was Canford Audio in my day), cable, microphones etc and hired theatre coms stuff for school. Thought you had to have a business account with them?
