Connect DSLR to Celestron Powertank

I would like to run my Canon SL1 off of a Celestron powertank. I have the AC adapter for the Canon, which uses the DR-E15 "fake" battery.

I have also purchased this DC-DC adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000KGKFA4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Now all I need is a way to connect the fake battery to the DC-DC adapter, preferably without having cut/solder anything. After much searching, I am fairly confident that the fake battery takes a 3mm x 1.1mm right-angle connector, but so far, I've been unable to find one.

Does anyone know where I could find this connector, or is there another avenue I should pursue?

I use these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-x-1-1mm-x-3mm-DC-Right-Angle-90-Degree-Male-Power-Plug-Jack-Connector-Laptop/261711828901?hash=item3cef3d97a5:g:EeYAAOSwwTlUmvxX which will plug into the fake battery, but the outer black casing mustn't be used as it will block access. I used heat-shrink tubing to insulate all the parts

Thanks for your response, and I apologize for the basic questions, but this is a bit outside my skill set.

So, after you crack open the black case around the connector, what part would you buy to attach to it? A cord with a male end, or would you solder a cord with exposed wires, like this one? https://www.neweggbusiness.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIV06N2E50149

You just need a 2 wire cable between your down converter & the plug. But you must make sure that Positive goes to the centre pin and Negative to the outer screen.

Below is one of mine, but I use standard buck convertors, which are smaller & lighter & can be adjusted to the exact required voltage (8.4 volts, for my Canons)
