Well I actually do not know any of the locations on the moon . In the pic is a large crater on the edge of the dark side .. also do the dark patches have names ? I need to buy a book ! Stu Posted August 25, 2018 Share Posted August 25, 2018 Nice picture. I think these two should help get you started, hopefully I matched the phase about right. When was the picture taken, I’m guessing on Monday, the phase looks correct at around 9.5 days, I added the 9 day one so you could see a few more crater names near the terminator.
