well just managed to capture 4 secs of avi unguided with sharpcap then did a quick process,and finished with the following,should i expect more

Looks good, how many frames was that ? not many I guess, should get better with more frames and maybe a Barlow.

Can't remember off the top of my head but I think you can do 30sec's on Jupiter before rotation becomes a problem.

Go for at least 1000 frames, your frame rate is very low though, try reducing the frame size to up the rate.

Isn't the camera USB ? I thought they went faster than 30fps, you could select a region of interest ( ROI ) around Jupiter which should up the frame rate.

Unless you particularly want moons in the picture I'd do an ROI and if conditions allow a 2X Barlow to get more detail on Jupiter.

HEQ5 should be able to do lots longer than that unguided.

Should be good enough, is there a setting in the handset for tracking Jupiter ?

Try capturing 2000 frames... you will get a lot more data.

When I've had a go at planets I normally went for 2000 frames, at the highest frame rate I can get without cutting the image size.  2000 is the limit of what Registax will do before it goes nuts (at least in my experience)

It's also a decent amount of data

With a c8 you can do 1 min videos easily..some do much more than that..you should get more than 2000 frames in the avi depending on frame rate..if you use quick capture then you can choose the amount of frames. 

If you want  a bigger image scale there's the percentage of zoom on the top right..id guess that your on 16% which is quite wide..id only stack 10% of the frames you have unless you have superb seeing conditions..
