Very nice. The proms are fantastic.

As I mainly do deep sky, can you tell me what the layer is below the prom before the sun proper? I'm guessing the sun's atmosphere?

The layer below the proms is the Chromosphere. Above this is the Corona and below the Photosphere. Of course the Sun is a ball of gas and the terms surface and atmosphere have no true meaning, but the photosphere, viewable in white light is described as the surface and the chromosphere, viewable in Ha is described as the first layer of the Sun’s atmosphere.
