Nice and wide... Orion... and quite a few other constellations

Thought I’d start this one off with a widefield view of the southern sky from East Devon. One 25 second exposure - Canon 6D, Samyang 14mm, ISO 3200  Taken in the early hours of 13th Nov..  Click on the image for a better quality pic..

Nice sky, better than here, just been taking a few images to see if the change to LED street lights has made it better or worse, watched the Moon rise now I'm going to bed.

Like Dave I'm wondering about the new LED lights. They've been doing them all around Hillingdon. I *think* they can be better but are more weather dependent.

It’s not too bad here - just off to the right of the image is the light pollution from Exeter and a new town Cranbrook. They use the newer LED’s and the sky is lightening that way every month   What I can’t tell is whether using other lights would be worse..

Those are nice stars James. 25 seconds seems to suit the lens well, especially as you're pointing in the southern area.

Would that be one frame from around 300 ?

You should start your own post with that Jon. It looks rather nice. Is that a night fisher I see ?

Thank you Dave - in this case it’s a standalone picture. I should have done a timelapse but from that location the odd car will go past and would have spoiled it, hence the standalone picture

Sorry been away in florida only come home the wknd! Yep a fisherman i am indeed! Cant wait to start my new hobby over the xmas break too!!
