I did it as follows:

No barlow

First capture with the gain and brightness right up so you can see the moons.

I then stacked 10 frames for this one (Jupiter will be way over exposed)

The next was a conventional stack of Jupiter (again without the barlow)

I then took both images into PS in different layers. Cropped the good image of the planet and overlayed onto the image showing the moons. Fiddled with brightness and contrast and bobs your unc!
