Not at all Ron, to be honest its hard to notice the difference between genuine spikes and made up one's. Its always amazed me how background stars dont show a hint of spikes and only the brightest have clear spikes.

I prefer diffraction spikes in large single or double star images.

I think it adds to the depth of the image but I appreciate that some find it very false, albeit in this case original.

Matt, apologies for the diversion away from your image. It's just that it did stir a lot of memories because of it's similarity to the Image I posted in the thread, concerning the TV prog.

The Old Grey Whistle Test. If you Google It, you will get a better explanation, and it might prevent further clogging of this thread.
