Eclipse from North Dakota

I did the best I could with the partial eclipse over North Dakota. I'm quite pleased with the result!

The photo is in itself its raw state. I was very happy with the simplicity of the edit. The solar filter I used is pretty basic, a simple safety film filter.

So that's a Baader foil-filter from Orion-USA. Good to know. These give a white Sun. The other most popular is from Rainbow-Symphony or Thousand Oaks - which give you an orange Sun.

And that's what I wanted to know!

Just for correctness..it's a Baader Solar film Safety filter.....not mylar or foil etc.

Indeed! I actually own a Thousand Oaks as well, though I found the most pleasant views of this particular phenomena were through the simple safety filter. I certainly used them both though!

Beautiful. Shots of the partial eclipse should not be underrated. You did a great job with a simple setup. It's so cool that sunspots were visible as well
