Data from the 16th 'cos it's raining today (totally MAC).

As I am still baffled how to get a full disk stitch to work properly I am playing around with data from the 16th.  These two panes went together quite well.  I played a lot with AS!2 and ImPPG on my MAC now that I can get them to run there.  It's so much easier and satisfying on a decent computer and 27" screen than a daft Windows bag of spanners.

You need a reasonable overlap, too much is better than too little.

But I still have stuff that won't stitch properly in any program and have to do some bits manually.

Yes I need to watch that especially as I work in Alt-Az mode.

Field rotation definitely won't help.

Exactly.  I will probably switch back to EQ when the darker nights are finally upon us.

I find I have more successful stitching,  when I use un-sharpened images. Then sharpen after stitching.
