Forecast for this morning was 50/50 for a clear sky so I set my alarm for 8 and got up anyway. Glad I did as I was greeted by horizon-to-horizon blue skies. A quick look at Sat24 showed cloud dissipating for a change so I did not need to rush. Even the seeing was half decent!

DSLR single pane white light full disks

White light close-ups @2500mm focal length using Lunt 1.25" Herschel Wedge, 100mm aperture mask, QHY5-II mono, Revelation 2.5x barlow, Baader UV/IR cut and Revelation #56 green filter.

6 Pane Ca-K Full disk @1000mm focal length

Ca-K close-ups @2500mm focal length using the Revelation 2.5x barlow between the QHY camera and Lunt diagonal

 

All captured in SharpCap, stacked in AS!2, sharpened in ImPPG and finished in Gimp2.8. Mosaics stitched using AutoStitch (Ca-K full disks).
