Very clear "sharp" proms showing now, 3rd July, morning

Seeing is poor here in Cambridgeshire, but that seems to affect proms less than surface detail. Luckily there are some lovely ones showing well now, with lots of detail. Here's one of the better images. Animation coming soon

Lovely Iain, I was mightily relieved with the return of the prominences this morning. :icon_biggrin:.  Wouldn't it be terrible if they disappeared for months on end as sunspots do, we'd also then be without filaments.  Blimey, it doesn't bear thinking about.

Thanks Paul. " Wouldn't it be terrible if they disappeared for months on end" Ah yes. I assume that as the sun gets quieter the proms and filaments get smaller and appear less often too though?  Is there anything to see at solar minimum??
