My solar imaging friends will be happy to learn that we have a second sun ... but NASA is hiding the truth from us!

Joking aside I do wonder how many people actually believe this sort of rubbish!

My dad for a start believed this until i told him it's just another silly hoax.

Unfortunately I think it is far more than you would hope Tony :(

Flat earth, second sun, moon landing, UFOs ... NASA likes to hide things from us. A shame that there is only one space agency where we can get info from.

Maybe we should start our own European Space Agency ... ho wait !

True... its a sad sign of the internet age, the internet allows anyone and everyone to publish and absorb 'the truth'

Mercury has a lot to answer for (if only planets could speak). Yesterday i watched one of the millions of "astronomy" shows on tv and this one claimed that an image of Mercury which was taken (cant remember when........because i was sooooo interested in the show), showed an alien ship in orbit around the planet while using a cloaking device. It (the ship) was exposed when a solar flare (CME) hit the ship and silhouetted it against the background.

False alarm. It was a ghost image of the planet on the camera sensor from an image of the planet taken the day before.
