Lunar eclipse animation

Not the best animation as it seems to skip its way through the build-up and exit phases due to trying to retain detail in both areas highlights and shadows but the range was really too great. The middle phase is a bit smoother on the eye and I'll probably remake this cutting out the leading and trailing parts...

I was caught out by "dynamic range" as well and should have made more frequent exposure changes...

That looks good. It was a tricky one to expose efficiently with the temptation of shifting exposure to the red part of the moon as quickly as possible. I think your exit sequence is much better as you have left the exposure alone more. I'm yet to put my sequence together, but I know that I have the same jumpy exposure alterations in there too. I think that after last night's run through I am now ready for the 'main take'. When is the next opportunity?!
