Whilst working on some OIII for the crescent, I decided to give the 1000d and nifty fifty a rare run-out to catch a few photons.

Quite a lot going on in this one really, I think I got lucky with the framing since it wasnt quite aligned with the 130.

1000d, NEQ6, 50mm f1.8 (stopped to f3.5)

The 1000d was in the vixen dual saddle while the 130 was gathering OIII on the crescent.

And only recently was I thinking about mounting the DSLR with nifty fifty atop the scope for a bit of widefield... You have just given me the proof that it is a very good idea. Splendid image and double the photon gathering power, got to be good. Look forward to seeing the crescent project too.
