I always thought the Helix was out of reach but the electronic finder showed I could just about get it. Yeah, it's really low down but still available. Wish I;d found out a couple of hours ago because now it's gone behind a house :-(  Anyway, I did manage to get just 1 (one) 15min sub before it disappeared..

This is excellent Chris. If it were not for lamp post just out side of my house this target would have been available to me from roughly 11.30pm till 1.30 am. But no luck with that lamp post.

I certainly will! I should be able to get about 2 hrs on it if I started earlier. RGB is going to be a bit of a disaster at that elevation though...

Well it depends more on atmospheric dispersion and absoption - getting a blue channel at that elevation would be a challenge for sure.

LOL! I'm asking passers by to kindly duck as they walk past my house...

I just tried to slew to it and the mount refused. Puzzled (I thought something was broke) I discovered it is just below the hoizon :-) Damn mount is too smart for it's own good.

Good luck Chris - you can up your binning to 2x2 for the RGB channels and 1x1 for the luminance/Ha - a lot  easier for me now the school have removed that tree
