Saturn - irresistible urge to image :-)

Hi All,

Captured on 23rd April from Kent. Did not really plan on doing any imaging this night. Rigged up my gear to show my Dad his first astro sight - Saturn. He was so amazed to see it through the eyepiece, couldn’t believe anyone could see this from a backyard.

I was just about to dismantle, when I had this irresistible compulsion to get out my DFK and run a couple of captures (I am addicted). Here's the first one with a 2X barlow. Still processing the other one taken with a 2x + extension tube.

Nice image Vince, had a couple of goes myself but the seeing has been carp and I cannot get any decent detail with either of the scopes

Hi All,

Thanks a ton for your comments. The second image at high f20+ did not come out good, hence not posting.

And yeah, the best way to get someone into astronomy is to show them Saturn. It's always a "wow", "amazing "or "is this for real?" !!!
