If you use red LED (IR) lighting, the scope is clearly visible against black walls.

Found out how good that rubber flooring is when I dropped my 25mm EP last night :0

No damage just a gentle thud as it hit the floor . Will really try not to do that again.

Do folks glue these foam tiles to the observatory floor or do you just lay it down like one big interlocked mat?

Just lay them no glue.

They don't move much and easy to lift up if you have a spillage or leak

You can get plastic squares designed to go under office chairs to stop them wearing out the carpet. I've got one in my office.
