At last i get out NGC 4565

Well i managed to drag myself out last night after a very very long time , the sky was so so, could just about make out the Plough, very milky indeed, but needed to keep my hand in as i was beginning to forget how to do it all lol.

Only imaged this one once before , and found it hard last time ,and conditions did not help again , would you beleive this is over 3 hours of exposure ,made up of 15 and 10 min subs .

Image with the Atik 16HR and scope Equinox 120, guided with the Equinox 80 , PHD guiding .

Excellent, quality image Rog. NGC 4565 is certainly one of the best edge on galaxies.

Glad you managed to get out - even if it was a milky sky.

I've not had even a half decent sky for 2 weeks!

Excellent capture , Rog. The sky last night was not good for long exposure imaging. My M100 image had loads of background pollution to remove.

One of my favourite edge on spiral galaxies captured very nicely against a backdrop of neighbouring galaxies. Glad to see you had chance to get out with your new scope Rog.
