Leo Triplet

7 x 900 sec L atick 383l  on the Skywatcher 200PDS

10 x 600 sec color Canon eos 1100D on the Skywatcher ED 80

stacked in dss and manually combined in photoshop and curves and levels in photoshop

no darks or flats where used in this capture.

no matter what i do from my home i cannot manage to capture the faint stuff must just be the light pollution.

Good result combining the colour and mono data from two different cameras and scopes.

The uploaded image is rather compressed though- only 58Kb!!

Makes you wonder how much data you need to get the tidal tail to show up??

the compression on the first upload is shocking makes it look Pants it was a 2.6 meg jpeg upload reduced to 550 kb with this compression and second one is  4.3 meg and png and is compressed to 880 kb.

The uncompressed version really sings, you have some superb detail in the galaxy dust lanes and spiral arms.

Feisty imaging. I like the colour.

There are faint outlying features in the Triplet region (outlying faint galaxy extensions and a tidal tail from the Hamburger) but you will never reveal them without flats.

Some lovely detail in these galaxies in particular the dust lane in ngc3628.
