Bonfire night Luna.TAL/1000D

Got in from work and managed to grab some Luna shots with TL100RS and Canon1000D at prime focus, the brighter image is shot at ISO 800 and 1/1600 and the darker one ISO 800 and 1/3200.

Single frames run through registax 5 for a bit of a push in wavelets

Love the top one Jules - very sharp!

Not bothered going out tonight - too much haze in the air. Sounds like the Somme out there! Actually, its nowhere near as bad here for fireworks (bangworks more accurately!) as it used to be where I lived in Sheffield.

Jules, deaf like the first one...and don't be so hard on yourself. they are really good full disc images. Love the power of Tycho....

cheers, i need to start taking a good amount of frames and stack them but as i dont use tracking mount, when i try this registax turns it into a lovely scrambled halo!

Yep the 1st one for me as well Jules. Nice one.

When you do start taking more subs I recommend that once your happy with the exposure, put the cam in live view to lock the mirror and reduce vibs a tad then start snapping away in raw, take about 10 to 20, then use the stacking prog of your choice etc
