IC410 - 'Tadpoles' in HST

Located in Auriga this is IC410 which contains the remarkable 'Tapoles' features. It is a bright emission nebula with a strong OIII component (which makes a nice change from having to stretch the heck out of the OIII channel just to make it show up!). I love those Tadpoles :)  This is a narrow-band composite of Ha, OIII and SII, 20min sub-frames (10 per channel) stacked in DSS and post-processed in StarTools with final tweaks in Photoshop. The Ha channel was captured using my Baader 7nM filter, the OIII and SII using Astrodon 3nM filters.

Scope was my TV NP127is, mounted on a G11 and guided with a TV Pronto and Lodestar guidecamera. The CCD camera was an Atik 490EX operating at 1x1 binning which is equivalent to approx. 1.1 arcsec/pixel.

Wish I could see it better to check the colours but at the moment I'm nursing my left eye which was stung by a wasp this morning, it has swollen and closed up and hurts!!! So I can't see too well!

Many thanks for the comments, just catching up now I can see out of both eyes! The whole LH side of my face is still badly swollen though.

Per: Yes, saturation is a bit OTT, looks brighter on the other monitors than this one and Photoshop shows far less saturation than when viewed here online as a JPG. Need to work on that :)
