I've seen some great photos from the ISS before but that one really stood out for me. it really gives a sense of scale to those anvil-shaped storm clouds.

I hope the dust from those isn't coming our way. London is claggy enough without Sahara dust adding to it.

Let's hope it blows over to the Amazon, it would be welcome over there. Dust from the Sahara is responsible for fertilizing the Amazon rainforest.

Spectacular image. I was in Turkey at the time it was taken and they were having a heat wave.

The day after that image was taken I woke to a strange eerie morning.

The quality of the light was such that I expected the sky to be overcast but it wasn't. The Sun's disk was plainly visible but hanging in a pink sky!

That day was cooler than the others but the evening and night were oppressively warm.

I'd already guessed what it was and looked at some weather sat images to see what was happening. Much of the eastern Med was affected.

The next day the sky slowly cleared and returned to blue again. It was a very hot day but the evening was bearable!
