Another elephant trunk first go at hubblish pallet

I have been wanting to try this for some time and I have had a couple of short slots with clear sky this week. I have just got an SII filter (thanks Ant) but haven't had a chance to put it in the wheel yet. Tim suggested a bunch of short red subs are a reasonable stand-in for SII so I thought, why not give it a try? This is 9x20min Ha, 6x 20min OIII and 12x 3min through a red filter.

Nice one Rik, never thought of using a red filter as an emergency SII channel! You probably found (as I did) that the sky hasnt exactly been great this week.... but I'll take anything! (bar last night... which was just a mushy, soupy mess)

Nice image and it came out well despite no sulphur filter. Generally, there is little signal in the S region, so you could try creating a synthetic red in photoshop as an alternative..
