Illuminated tent pegs

Recommended Posts

I've just picked up a set of neat illuminated tent pegs from EBay for just £3.29 delivered.

With a couple of coats of red nail polish over the LEDs they are now a really cheap, but effective red LED lights for marking out cables, tripod legs etc when out star gazing.

I use these when camping for the kids and the batteries last well - not replaced one yet and have had them on for about 10 nights in total (including the odd one here and there when I have forgotten to turn them off after a few too many glasses of wine)

Hi Michael,

I bought about a dozen in Wilkinsons for around £10.

Planning the red paint trick....

I left one on for 2 days by accident and it was still working (Sunday night through to Tuesday morning).

Those little batteries can be expensive.

I use Outwell guide ropes which seem to glow faintly in the dark.

Trust you enjoyed the "This / That"..........

Cheers

Adrian
