My first Galaxy pic

Hi folks

Here is Bodes Nebulae and the cigar galaxy, taken last night. One exposure of 150secs and 400iso.

I'm sure I could improve with multiple images and stacking but I'm pleased with my first effort at galaxies...

what method were you using to guide btw>?

I just have a synscan goto mount. Just polar and star alignment and hope for the best!

I had my first go with my 150pds at these two but haven't had the time to process yet but I don't my single subs are as good as that so nice job!

Somehow many of your stars have a "packman" style to them? Wonder where that's from??

Great first go. Try ISO 800 next time and see just how much comes out. Don't forget to take darks!
