weather!!!

hi all!!   sorry havent been around as of late but got laid off just before xmas! but i have now gone back as a sub contractor ,and i am flat out! working on the memo in newbridge  doing the plaster  works  restoration , so very busy, but this weather is a nightmare, and can be very depressing as an amateur astronomer, just keeping my fingers crossed for one good night of seeing!!!! regards stuy

If it's any consolation stu January was appalling last year as well but February was one of the best of the year so all's not lost yet.<br />

Glad to hear work is going well for you ! 

Agree with you about the nightmare weather, on the flipside of the coin, I spoke to a friend in California a couple of nights ago who said there is a drought, the reservoirs are nearly dry and the forecast for rain doesn't look promising.  I'd rather be here in Wales though, the air is clean and the water pure; As my wife Dorothy says ....... there's no place like home.

 I think she picked that up somewhere ?

The weather is absolutely shocking. Then we were saying that about the cold and snow last year

It's just our rubbish climate.

I think astronomers should all get a tax rebate from the Met Office or something. How about a £1 FLO voucher each every time its cloudy at night.
