Another Jupiter on the Xboc cam

Recommended Posts

Been having a go with the data I collected last night with the Xbox special, managed to get at least one passable image of the GRS:

I think the only way beyond this sort of image now would be a better webcam or a decent barlow.

Can anyone advise which would be a better investment?

Scope is a Skywatcher 127 mak.

Cheers

Here you go.  127 Mak, 2.5x barlow, 40mm extension and modded Xbox camera:

Given that the Revelation 2.5x barlow is relatively cheap I'd say that's worth getting.  My extension I made by removing the lenses from the kit barlow that comes with many Skywatcher scopes.

After that I think you'll need a change of camera, but the barlow will still be useful.  I used it (and the extension) with my SPC900 and now with the ASI120MC in both my 127 Mak and C9.25.
