Comet 8P/Tuttle and M33 fly by

Got a very lucky cloud hole at 11.45pm last night but only got 2 minutes to get a couple of shots

hence the noise...

Still, an image is better than no image.

Congratulations Geppetto, you must have found the one hole in the cloud cover, it was 'carp' here. I had my Astrotrac all set up and ready to pick up and take outside and stayed up til Tuttle disappeared below house line.

Like you said any picture is better than no picture. M33 showing through reasonably well for a 2 minute smash and grab.

This comet reminds me of comet C2006 Swan with it green Cyanogen (toxic gas) colour.

The green colour is probably caused by Cyanogen which is a toxic gas. This comet looks vary similar in colour to Comet Swan C2006 which which has Cyanogen gas in its composition.
