In Corona Australis below Sagittarius near the edge of the Milkyway this spectacular area is best visited in wide field like Rho Ophiuchus it also has a Globular nearby like Rho Oph.  This reflection nebula is set amongst some peculiar Harbig Haro objects with a strong dust lane intersecting and some bright 6th mag stars illuminating the area.  It's a very bright object in telescopes also.  It reaches overhead here is Brisbane.

Thanks for looking, John.

That is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Herbig Haro 100.................is that a galaxy? maybe being ripped apart.

Paul it looks a bit spiral but Herbig Haro are strange often long and hook like very small Ha star creating structures that don't last long perhaps several thousand years before fading.  The Hubble usually images them because they are small and detailed showing star jets.

John.
