Pelican Nebula HaRGB hybrid

Hello,

I managed 2 hours and 30 minutes on this target the other night in full Moon, but the 3nm Ha filter seems to be doing a good job regardless.

So in my usual fashion I combined it with some RGB data, 2 hours worth of. The Skywatchers did the work as is the norm of late.

This target is on the dull side in this type of hybrid but really comes to its own in HST palette from what I've seen. The criss cross streaks make for a dramatic HST image, so one I'll remember for the future. (As if I can do it 'dramatic' but you know what I mean  )

I've tried to control the star colour better in this one, hopefully it shows.

Splendid! I think you could push the local contrasts harder. It is good to present images which haven't been stretched to death, but does this one maybe have still more to give without screaming? I think maybe yes.

Very nice. I particularly like those 'cuts' into the thick area of dust towards the upper/centre of each picture - very interesting.
