27 Aug Ha full disc and a surprise.

Quick session at lunchtime for a full disc with the LS60T single stack and DMK41. I tried for a double stack, but it was awful so I binned it.

Then I turned up the exposure and Gamma and went for a wander round the limb to see the proms. I was a bit surprised when I found this. It is very faint and just about shows on the GONG pics. It is actually enormous. The image does not do it justice.

That is a super prom you've captured in the close-up. I was observing it at lunch time and was blown away by the size of it. It seemed to be roughly 10% the diameter of the disc
