It is amazing how modern amateur equipment can pick out detail in the faint outer reaches of galaxies which used to be hard for professional scopes when I was studying astronomy at the university (early 80s). morimarty Posted May 10, 2013 Share Posted May 10, 2013 HI freddieyou have captured some lovely detail in this galaxy but I've noticed it as a green gradient in the backround. so I hope you dont mind I ran DBE&SCNR in pixinsight on you're image i think it as helped? I don't think it helped not having any flats for this (was more about setting up and trying out the new OAG than the image) but I think I need to go back into PS for a bit more adjustment.
