The Sun - 9th May 2013

Early start today in order to try and catch the Sun before the clouds came back. It was close but I managed to get a few subs before the cloud took over. Took 107 subs and stacked just 39 in Registax 5.1 but pre-processed in PIPP.

Maybe I will get the whole disc in focus at some point

Nice one. It's howling a gale here today. Not a chance of imaging.

Looking at Raben's "dark side of the Sun" images it appears that 1724 and 1726 might be about to appear around the limb. Not sure 1724 is up to much, but 1726 looks like it might be a reasonable size.

Managed to down tools and grab a hundred before the gales arrived , engulfed in 'Fen blows' all the way home , glad I didn't wash the van . . .
