It also looked pretty good in binos.

I tried this evening but couldn't find it - got a couple of photos of the crescent Moon with Earthshine - and had an odd conversation with a bloke who I suspect thought the wife and I were in the car park for an entirely different reason!!!

It wasn't the easiest thing in the world to find, somewhat akin to spotting Mercury. The finder charts weren't a great deal of help. Try again tomorrow.

Yes, I'm sure every finder chart I looked at placed it to the left of the moon

Yeah, I have now gone through the up coming days on Stellarium and have drawn on the finder chart where the Moon will be on each day so I can judge where the comet should be in relation to it. Hopefully I should be able to find it tonight...if it stays clear!
