Is the rent expensive on top of that mountain with the 8m yscope ? :-), seriously though how did you capture this ? Kit ?

Very interested in this as i have the equipment (i think) for solar apart from the Sun.

Thanks. The rent was very expensive Of course you can use it (as long it is not commercial )...

This is the setup I used:

It's a Lunt 60 with a lunt 75 etalon as a double stack....

I can't comment on the technical side - but WOW! / Unbelievable as an image. Used to seeing the filament loops around the perimeter, but the scale and view from above on that are amazing. Can anyone give a rough length for scale?

That has got to be one of the best solar images I've seen. The detail is amazing. All the best, Bob
