Afocal Deepsky Orion

Recommended Posts

Hi all, as you can guess from the title this is an Afocal shot of Orion made up of 6 subs each 8 seconds long, ISO1600, 800,400 2 of each. processed in deepsky stacker. The scope was a 150PL with an EQ3-2 with dual axis motors, camera was a Fuji Finepix bridge camera on an Orion starshoot bracket all through the standard 25mm EP supplied with the scope. I know it is not up to the quality of the DSLR images but its interesting to see what you can do on a budget!

Good first try and I agree with what the others have said :) That's much the same way as I started except I only had a 130mm scope. I used a Canon S40 point-n-shoot camera on a similar bracket.
