The Sun - at last!

Well it's been sunny with scattered cloud pretty much all day here. I spent a couple of hours out with the solar scopes this morning resulting in some 200 white light frames and several avi's from the PST. I haven't had chance to process the avi's yet but here is the stacked white light data. I had the bright idea of installing the latest version of my operating system last weekend and found out today that this has triggered a move to GIMP 2.8 (from 2.6). Seems my routine in GIMP is longer effective so for now I have just produced a greyscale image. I will play (argue) with GIMP later!

Edit: Err, title should have included Sun obviously but somehow lost that, sorry :embarrassed:

Nice. That's a good level of detail for the 300mm focal length. Is that a single frame or a stack?

Just one frame @f8, jpeg. I didn't take a stack as I thought the *** might disappear and not be seen again 'til Spring (Spring 2015 that is)....
