With Steve and Roger I think we have the full set now :)

Seeing was appalling through the bedroom window today and with many clouds it took an hour to snap 3 pictures.

Halpha was definitely clearer than Ca II K.

First the Halpha (Single stack PST) / DMK41

Mmmm I must confess I have only looked once in my life and all I could see was a purple splodge and had no idea where focus was as I couldn't really see the disc. Perhaps I should try again in mid summer when the image should be brighter, I'll let you know :)

At last something to see on the sun. Away from home so no chance to do any observing. I tried CaK observing with a guy who'd had a cataract operation... Still saw nothing much. Apart from white light I would recommend letting the camera and PC show you the sights! Same with planets, but I would always use my eye in the moon....

Fingers (and more) crossed for 2013 to give us more observing chances than 2012!
