My first go at uranus

Not been to happy with my jupiter images over recent days! so i thought id have a go at uranus for a change, fairly happy with this shot.

I always enjoy peoples efforts catching the harder planets to locate. Well done! I had planed on trying to get this last night between 6-7 but unfortunately it was cloudy. How did you locate the planet, star hoping or have you got goto?

Thanks PH-R i used a goto but could not even locate it with binos last night, it was very dim from my location.

Excellent, well done! I really enjoy seeing Uranus pics these days. I know there is no details to be seen, but just the lovely color and knowing how mind-blowingly far away it is, is enough to make me dream

Great capture Simon, uranus is a very elusive planet. Ive only ever seen it just the one time in 15x70 bins. very well done!
