Caldicot Castle, Thursday 22nd Nov

Usk Astronomy Society is hosting an evening in Caldicot castle on the 22nd of November (Thursday). There will be some 'scopes (fingers crossed for a clear night), a planetarium - so we have a plan B even if the weather is poor, plus a whole bunch of other stuff to look at and do including a nice meteorite collection. Normal castle admission applies but the rest is free (you can also purchase refreshments). No need to book just turn up - starts at 7 pm.

iv been to the castle twice and i helped out 2 years ago dave and dave are fantastic the planetarium is supurb!

Ahh yes, the Porth bridge does look so enchanting with the fog around it (or was it a car fire)

the porth bridge was actually (random fact) a reject idea of the blackwood suspension bridge. the south wales argos rejected that bridge idea cos it looked "boring" lol
