just undercut and parted off the two rings , still got the center section so not all material lost

Very nice, are you planning to experiment with home brew anodising kits and turn them into nice deep black or burnt orange?

I make up various bits in aluminium alloys and home brew anodising is next on my list of garage experiments.

Sounds like fun, I go out to China a lot visiting anodising factories, I understand the theory but have never done it for real!

We should stress once more that you need a straight (!) 9x50 not a right angled one, unless u want to buy an extension tube for 18-20£...
