That doesn't sound right. My app shows it transiting the meridian at 17.41 or there abouts.

Check the setting in your app for the location of the GRS, you should be able to set its longitude and the latest figure is 184° according to S & T. If yours is set incorrectly then it will show the transit times incorrectly too. My understanding is that GRS moves around 8° per year. I've just updated mine and it was set at 168° two years ago so that seems correct

I have a nice Android app called Galilean which shows GRS transits, moon and shadow transits. Very handy

I've just tried to find this Android app in the play store but it's not there. Am I looking in the wrong place for it?
