Iris and the dark side

Hello,

Here is a 2.2° wide field around the Iris nebula. This field includes vdB141 and some other dust clouds almost everywhere.

This photograph has been acquired in the french Alps, near the Col du Lautaret (famous for the Tour de France ;) ), at 2000m elevation, which allowed me to get a deep image.

Hi Olly,

I was in this area in July, around the 20th. No biking, but hiking...

No real pollution from Briançon where I was, west side of the Col. Briancon is hidden by significant mountains and is not such a big city. The only pollution comes from the cars passing all the night on the road !

Thanks Paul !

Stephane
