NGC6888 - Crescent Nebula - 5 Hours

So this is 5 hours of 300 Second exposures taken over 2 nights. Kit is in my signature.

Its ok but I had hoped 5 hours would have revealed a little more nebulosity ?,

it may be that my processing skills are simply poor and there is loads of data waiting to be teased out, or will I simply need more data ?

Thanks for looking

Regards

John B

I think its limiting because of your location and LP. What ISO did you use? If it was 400 then try 800 but if you were at 800 I would go back to that its your LP because I wouldn't go higher than 800 if I were you. But there's a good amount of data there and looks good.

It's a nice image. If you can somehow get rid of the gradient, so much the better.

To get any more detail on this object (i.e. all the internal filaments that make it look like a 'brain'), I think folks have added narrowband data into the mix.
