I was fortunate to catch this in Ha this morning around 9.30 before the usual cloud cover rolled in. One of the best loops I've seen.

a quick animation from the Gong Ha feed over 5 hours. The incredible amount of energy flowing in that loop is just mind blowing

I just managed a quick peek between clouds. Could see the "breaking wave" structure just to the south of the loop, and a few fragments which might be parts of the loop, not a whole contiguous loop. Nice sight.

Great animation. You would expect that material would be travelling in one direction but curiously, the animation seems to show it appearing from the apex of the loop and falling back in opposite directions.

Seeing now the Heliosviewer animation it would appear that the material was ejected in one burst and that it was being pulled back to the surface in equal directions giving a loop effect rather than the more common genuine loop.
