  15. Hi, Which Telescope(refractor) retailers in the UK check your purchased telescope (e.g. collimation) before shipping?
  16. Just gathering your thoughts. With carrying luggage limited at 56cm (length), is there any good 4 inch Refractor that can be categorised as travel scope? I was thinking about the FC100DC, But not sure if you can make it fit inside the 56cm limit.
  17. Good news! the telescope survived the journey. Very happy that I did it. 12" under dark skies is priceless. I think the biggest problem was the logistics at the destination, as not all airbnb pictures show to long and irregular steps to the houses or how far you have to carry 30kg equipment in the middle of the night because there is no parking spaces near by.
  18. A rich field is very rewarding. My approach has been slightly different. I normally choose a constellation in the sky and scan it, starting with my biggest field of view. If something catches my attention I change eyepiece and/or filters. Afterwards, I check on my app what object that was and if I missed obvious objects or should revisit the area.
  19. I looked at that and for the whole period I could by another telescope. So it is not the best option..
