help with set up of mount & telescope

Hi

I live in North London. Does anyone out there know of someone who can help set up equatorial mount and 6" refractor at my home? Taking this telescope and mount to a club is just far too heavy for me.

Hi and welcome to the forum. There are plenty of YouTube videos on how to set up an equatorial mount and how to balance a scope. I would give these a try first and come back with specific queries.

Hi Kamanetzski and welcome to SGL, setting up an EQ mount may look complicated, but as James has pointed out, there are many video tutorials to help you. If you still feel unsure, then if you make contact with the Baker Street Irregulars Astro Club, who meet in Regents Park, it is possible they may just be able to help you out :(
