Great "seeing"

Had unbelievably good seeing last night. No wind, clear skies, very little haze.

Near perfect difraction patterns on stars at high mags.

Saturn was spectacular in my 4" 'frac at X184 and even at X230

Bands on the planet, Cassini, different shades in the ring system and ring shadow.

Reckon I could see 4 moons.

Also did some "doubles" and a few "globs".

It's looking pretty good tonight too

Unfortunately started clouding over by 10pm here, and now c. 90% cover - think I'll have to give it a miss (supposed to clear later...) as I have an early start tomorrow.

I have my frac out and ready for Saturn, I'll spend a little time with the Moon too I think...I'm working from home tomorrow

Was looking promising tonight, that is until the clouds moved in. First Mars disappeared, then the moon and then Saturn.
