Cooking for star Party 3.5

With the next star party fast approaching, have we decided on food and cooking arrangements??

Last I heard it was down to the pub a mile or so away.

I won't be arriving until late Saturday afternoon, perhaps early evening. Providing everyone can hang on until 5-6pm, down the pub sounds good. Or grabbing a huge take away. Or doing a BBQ (i'm up for helping out with this) get my vote.

We'll be bringing barbecue gear (probably those diposable ones ), and if my husband does the shopping (which he usually does) then we'll have enough for an army and willl be more than happy to share .

In addition, we'll bring supplies of Bara Brith (Welsh fruit loaf), Welsh Cakes and probably another cake or two....

Sharing would seem to add to the fun... anyone got a gazebo or similar in case it rains??

I have a Gazebo but it has no sides, so won't do much good if the rain is driving due to gail force winds :shock:

Driving Gail force winds? I don't think I will be there if it's like that! I got soaked at the wales SP and a couple of weeks ago I got mega drenched at the Goodwood FOS, twice in a year is enough for me.

On a more positive note it's August so it's going to be clear and warm. :sunny:

I think I will go down the pub whatever.

Well as you all know star party 3.5 salisbury is fast approaching! 3 weeks today!

Just to let you all know i will be in a great big tent in the middle of the field! As seen here! Go down to the photos and click on the tent picture and thats the one i'll be in!

The misses will have cooked brownies for all arriving on the friday! Sorry to those arriving on the saturday, but everyone will have eaten them by then, if not, i will have done lol!

Hope you are all looking forward to it as i think it will be a great weekend! There will be loads of beer i expect and good company so we shall not go without! Hopefully the Cl***s wont spoil our viewing!

Thanks for update Darren. Would you be able to PM your mobile number as I may need some help finding it if SGL3 was anything to go by. I spent hours driving round lost in a maze of tiny welsh roads, it was very frustrating.
